Dreams are valuable, precious signifiers of an innate, uncontrollable creativity and imagination. They direct and redirect the subconscious repeatedly over the course of ones lifetime. Much of the imagery in my work comes from my dreams. I dream, I write down the dream, I think about it. I make a drawing of the dream. I paint the image. The image itself is yet another dream which can be seen and absorbed as material to develop another dream. It is an endless cycle. Through my dreams I am able to configure and reconfigure all past and future events. There is undeniable mystery in the life of the sleeping mind where no self-consciousness, no inhibitions can burden ones experience. The imagery is pure, the thoughts and reactions are intuitive.
